About Scott

Scott is an experienced HR professional with a wealth (15+ years) of HR and Management experience.  His diverse career has spanned many different industries including engineering consulting, contact centre, gaming and hospitality, information technology, accounting/finance, government and retail.  Scott understands the value that HR brings to organizations and is a true champion and voice of the profession.  His strong coaching, leadership and ability to mentor others has allowed him to realize success as a true business partner.

His knowledge in the areas of Talent Management, Employment Branding, Employee Engagement,  Social Media, Rewards & Recognition, Coaching, Conflict Resolution, Employment Law and Performance Management, along with his ability to translate these into business solutions, have been the hallmark of his career to date.

Originally from Halifax, with a temporary stop in Ottawa, Scott is a graduate of St. Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia (Major in Human Resource Management). Scott is a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) and a certified Predictive Index Analyst.  He is an active member of the Human Resources Association of Nova Scotia and is a past Vice-Chair of the Halifax chapter.  His goal is to provide a reflective view and stimulate two-way dialogue on current and emerging aspects of Human Resources from his point of view.  As always, he welcomes your feedback and comments and thanks you in advance for taking the time to read his blog.
